A Mindfulness Practice – Awareness of Breath
- Find a comfortable, quiet place to sit or lie down
- Bring your attention to your natural breathing pattern. If you comfortably can,
breathe through your nose rather than through your mouth - Notice the sensations of the breath as it enters and leaves your body
- If your mind wanders, simply re-direct your attention to your breath. Hint: you can
try thinking “just this breath” with each of your breaths - Continue to fucus on your natural breathing pattern as the breath flows in and out
taking 5-10 breaths this way
